Coordinator Food & Beverage - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
Scope of Position \n

It is the mission and intent of this position that the Food & Beverage Coordinator will assist in the fundamental organization and development of systems and procedures within the Food & Beverage department. The Food & Beverage Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Food & Beverage department as well as assist all Team Members with daily inquiries. The Food and Beverage Coordinator will report to the Director of Food & Beverage.

\nDuties and Supporting Responsibilities\n\nProvide support for Food and Beverage hourly team members and management.\nTrain, develop, evaluate and schedule team members.\nAnswer office phone greeting internal and external guests.\nPerforms administrative duties such as, scheduling, payroll, labor management, purchasing and inventory control\nProvide excellent service at all time to all of our guests and team members \nCommunicate all group information/changes to appropriate hotel team members in an accurate and timely manner\nCoordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to:\n\n\n\nFood and beverage requirements\nTiming of events\nSpecial attention guests\nTable setup\nSpecial requests\nComplimentary desserts, drinks, etc.\nBilling instructions\nAuthorized signatures\n\nAbility to handle confidential information appropriately\nResponsible for ordering/distribution of office supplies\nInventories and maintenance of POS equipment.\nOversee sign in/out and clock in/out of servers/bartenders for banquet events.\nMust be able to assist the Department to optimize both function profitability and guest satisfaction.\nPhysical presence at work is an essential function of this job.\nConsistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.\nAdditional duties may be added at the Company’s discretion.\n\n

Requirements

\n\nA minimum of 2 years food & beverage experience in a luxury hotel environment\nSkilled in organizing resources and establishing multiple priorities \nAbility to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects\nKnowledge of industry standards, products, and procedures \nProfessional appearance and demeanor\nExcellent interpersonal communication skills\nHigh level of logical, organizational, and accuracy skills\n\n\nAbility to effectively speak and write in the English language\nWilling to work a flexible schedule and holidays\nHave an in-depth knowledge of food and preparation\nBe able to relate to all levels of guests\nBe able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest\nHave the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner\nMust have excellent attention to details, and extensive service knowledge\n\n
