JOB SUMMARY:

To assist with work order generation, part purchasing and other logistics activities for the multi-site Support Services department. Interface with Support Services personnel, vendors and internal customers as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Serve as point of contact for customers on any Logistics related issues.
•Generate FedEx labels and shipping tickets, and include the processes of picking, packing, and preparing parts for return to suppliers.
•Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload parts/equipment.
•Obtain a company driver license for expediting travel between campuses and local suppliers.
•Support the cycle count inventory process in accordance with established guidelines and help in formulating actions to address inventory issues.
•Actively participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities within the Part Cribs.
•Establish and maintain 5S processes in all Part Cribs.
•Assist in locating missing deliveries from Suppliers.
•Maintain an organized workspace, parts crib, and company trucks.
•Purchase materials and labor as directed using Sprocket, ARIBA and Purchasing card.
•Receive some guidance with specific tasks, but is generally able to act autonomously in accomplishing support objectives
•Purchase materials and labor as directed using CMMS, ARIBA and Purchasing card.
•Works in a self-directed manner across business functions including customer departments, Maintenance craftsmen, Maintenance Supervision, Maintenance Engineering, crib personnel, Purchasing, Taxation and vendors.
•Responsible for producing weekly, monthly and yearly reports

EDUCATION:

•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Training in the purchasing and customer service arena is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum of 2 years’ customer service or related experience required
•Purchasing experience related to maintenance and manufacturing is preferred
•Ability to multitask
