Great work-life balance -No nights, weekends or holidays POSITION SUMMARY: The Wound/Enterostomy care coordinator implements and evaluates the activities for total patient care, following outlined protocols, in the delivery of acute and chronic wound care, enterostomy care, and hyperbaric treatments. They will serve as care coordinators for a group of patients handling intake and discharge processes as assigned. Will demonstrate competency in and be responsible for treating various types of patients seen including critically ill and chronically ill patients, ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. Performs various educational activities, including infection control, aseptic dressing technique, and preventive care. Educates patients, significant other and/or caretaker. Area of focus may be inpatient or outpatient. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's degree in nursing Experience: 2 years nursing experience Licensure/ Certification: Registered Nurse License. Current certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: Experience with Hyperbaric Licensure/ Certification: Wound Care certification or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse.
