We are seeking someone who can be an integral part of the Marketing Strategy team at National Geographic with the creation and execution of marketing campaigns in support of our television series, documentary films and specials that air across Disney+, Hulu and linear platforms. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Strategy and support the Manager of Marketing Strategy. By working with different internal stakeholders across The Walt Disney Company – Programming, Platform Merchandising, Talent, Social, PR, Creative, Synergy and Integrated Planning – the coordinator will become a valued contributor to overall strategies that drive viewership for our programming.
Responsibilities:
Thinking critically and creatively in helping craft marketing campaigns!
Working alongside the strategy team to lay out deck presentations for internal and external stakeholders by culling together information from disparate sources
Assisting in the assembly and input of meeting agendas and coordinating with internal stakeholders across Integrated Planning, Social, Creative, Project Management, Media and PR regarding different deliverables
Establishing and managing strategy-led meeting invites and the creation/distribution of meeting notes
Facilitating creative requests within National Geographic Magazine print placements
Maintenance of campaign timeline documents
Managing strategy team files and archives
Helping with information-gathering, share outs and asset deliveries with Disney+ and Hulu
Owning a variety of administrative duties that help the strategy team to easily execute assignments across teams
Supporting timely stakeholder communication of Marketing Strategy campaign milestones
Additional duties/responsibilities in support of the team as needed or as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years prior experience in a marketing or project management type role preferred; television, entertainment or agency experience a plus
Must be able to prioritize tasks appropriately and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must think strategically, have strong organization skills, and be attention/deadline oriented
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with other people and/or departments
Proficient in Powerpoint and Google Slides; experience with graphic files is a plus
Proactive self-starter
Passionate and curious about all aspects of the marketing and television business
Articulate, flexible and collaborative
The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $53,300.00 to $71,300.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
