Job SummaryThe Coordinator of Volunteer Services coordinates and implements volunteer programs. This includes recruiting, orienting, and scheduling volunteers.
Essential Functions of the RoleConsults with management, administrators and staff to regulate organization needs for various volunteer services.Coordinates and executes volunteer recruitment activities in support of specified program priorities.Schedules and facilitates volunteer meetings and provides special instructions and orientation for volunteers.Establishes and maintains relationships with community managers, community-based organizations and corporate sponsors to support the volunteer services program.Serves as liaison between administration, staff and volunteers. Coordinates quarterly volunteer recognition.Maintains a database of volunteers and time logs of volunteer activities in accordance with all regulatory requirements.Prepares and provides post-activity evaluation data, as appropriate; prepares reports and maintains files and documentation.Key Success FactorsKnowledge of volunteer programs.Proven verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.Proven organizational and presentation skills.Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications.Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and special events.Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships.Ability to prepare and maintain written reports.Belonging StatementWe believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported.
