**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Role Summary: Provides operational support to the facility medication diversion compliance program and is responsible for overseeing management of daily operations for medication diversion prevention, detection, and response. The Medication Diversion Specialist (MDS) supports routine surveillance, investigation, and program development activities at Mission Hospital. The MDS shall perform activities to support the facility Medication Diversion Team (MDT). Such duties include conducting daily/monthly audits, reviews and investigations related to diversion and required audits to ensure compliance with Medication Diversion Prevention related policies and procedures. Complies with the Mission Hospital compliance program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Required Education: B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy college of pharmacy
+ Preferred Education: Completion of hospital PGY1/pharmacy general practice residency or fellowship.
+ Required License: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
+ Required Experience: Minimum of 1+ years related experience.
+ At least one of the following:
+ Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
+ Completion of hospital PGY1/pharmacy general practice residency or fellowship.
+ Experience with controlled substance monitoring tools.
+ Preferred Experience: Experience with Cerner and Pyxis reporting tools.
