Job Summary:\rFunctions under the direction of the Sup, Supply Chain Ops I or II. Responsible for daily inventory replenishment for emergency and/or medical surgical units. Serves as a liaison between Supply Chain and end-users. Responsible for the acquisition, storage, and distribution of supplies for a perpetual/periodic inventory. Responsible for shipping, receiving, and delivery of all hospital packages. Ensures supply processes and procedures are compliant with all aspects of Quality and Safety. Assists with product conversions and recalls. Assists with year-end inventories as needed.\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rInventory Management\rCoordinates supply acquisition and distribution process for stock and non-stock supply items.\rCreates, organizes, and manages supply pars including, par levels, barcode labeling for requisitioning and product identification.\rCoordinates and submits non-stock to stock item requests via the ACI (Add, Change, Inactivate) process.\rAssists in management and maintenance of par forms in Lawson and Mobile Supply Chain systems.\rUtilizes hand-held bar code scanning for supply management.\rCoordinates product returns, product recalls, and product substitutions including receiving proper credit.\rEngages senior buyer and vendors to investigate delayed, lost, and/or shipments arriving devoid of proper documentation.\rCheck stock status/back orders.\rCheck expiration dates and rotates stock during replenishment.\rManages slow moving/obsolete supply items.\rReports and records mis-picks, over-picks, and shortages to CSC and/or Purchasing.\rServes as a liaison between clinician and supplier.\rResolves receipt discrepancies under direction of supervisor.\rVerifies and delivers all incoming supplies to designated end-user locations.\rPerforms shipping and receiving activities for facility including all inbound and outbound shipments.\rReceives, handles, transports, bone and tissue as well as assists with proper tracking of implants, bone, tissue and other high dollar supplies and medical devices.\rManages issuing and maintenance of minor equipment.\rResponsible for proper transportation of pharmaceuticals and chemical reagents.\rDemonstrates basic product knowledge.\rQuality and Safety\rManages product recall process within established timelines and procedures.\rEnsures proper handling and removal of expired products.\rDocuments expired product removals according to SC Expired Product Policy.\rAdheres to Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory standards.\rParticipates in performance improvement initiatives.\rManages bio-hazardous substances safely and within policies and procedures.\rMaintains supply areas and properly labels supply bins for safety.\rCustomer Service\rEffectively communicates with customer.\rFriendly and courteous.\rMeets or exceeds customers expectations.\rAnticipates customer needs.\rServes as a liaison between clinician and supplier.\rFinancial\rAssists with coordination of product evaluations, standardization and conversions.\rManages perpetual/periodic inventory and performs cycle-counts to ensure accurate receipts and/or issues of supplies.\rAssists with year-end physical inventory counts satisfying internal audit requests.\rIdentifies, recommends and/or removes slow moving or obsolete items to capture savings.\rManages hospital inbound and outbound freight shipping and expenses.\rPerforms regular inventory expiration checks to minimize the possibility of negative monetary impact from expired products.\rCoordinates exchanges and returns of obsolete inventory.\rMaintains optimal supply par levels.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:\rHigh school diploma\rGED or equivalent\rAssociate's Degree in a supply chain, or business-related field\r\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rMinimum 2 years supply chain, logistics, inventory, receiving, and/or distribution experience. Required\rRequired Minimum Skills:\rAnalytical Abilities: Requires moderate analytical ability for data analysis from the ERP systems to identify supply chain initiatives, establish baselines, and develop work plans for implementation. Requires understanding of Lean principles. Knowledgeable of medical supply terminology. Medium\rClerical Skills: Beginner to Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Low\rInterpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English. Possess skills to interact with clinicians and other hospital personnel.
