Part-Time

Shift Pattern: AM with the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays

 

The ideal Banquet Cook II candidate is a dedicated culinary professional with at least two years of kitchen experience, preferably in hotel banquet environments. They are adaptable, thrive in fast‑paced settings, and bring the versatility to work multiple stations with confidence and consistency. A flexible schedule is essential, as our banquet operations demand availability across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Most importantly, this candidate brings a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences through quality food and reliable execution.

 

What will I be doing?

As a banquet cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

 

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards

Follow BEOs to ensure accurate menu execution for all functions.

Assist with food preparation for large‑volume events while adhering to timelines.

Set up and break down banquet kitchen stations before and after service.

Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

Demonstrate proper knife skills

Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products

Follow a production sheet with minimal guidance

Have a strong understanding of mother sauces

Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen

Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times

Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
