Our client, a food service and hospitality organization, is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the culinary team supporting food preparation and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for cooking, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cook

Location: West Des Moines, IA

Pay Range: Up to $18.00/hour DOE

Shift: Mostly 6:30am-2:30pm, may be asked to help with special events.

What's the Job?

Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and safety standards Follow production guidelines and safety procedures to ensure quality and safety Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area Support the team in experimenting with different cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage

What's Needed?

Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods Ability to acquire food safety certification Basic math and counting skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
