The Conversion Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing the pre-paid to collect freight conversion process, ensuring the successful transition of pre-paid suppliers into collect suppliers. This position will utilize strong analytical skills and business acumen to evaluate customer accounts, identify conversion opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize managed freight.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyze and evaluate pre-paid customer accounts to identify potential suppliers to convert to a collect billing method.
Develop and implement strategies that maximize conversions and effectively transition pre-paid suppliers.
Collaborate with the purchasing, merchandizing, and finance department teams to determine conversion opportunities.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to understand sales and landed costs of product lines to make data-driven recommendations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a transition plan for pre-paid suppliers.
Identify and address any potential issues or setbacks in the conversion process, implementing corrective measures as needed.
Collaborate with IT and other relevant teams to develop and enhance systems and tools for improved conversion training and reporting.
Effectively interface with stakeholders, technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels.
Complete and submit accurate status reports in a timely manner.
Value internal and external customers and respond to their needs as they arise.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to pre-paid to collect conversion, continuously seeking opportunities for process optimization and revenue growth.
Complete special projects as required.
Attend training seminars.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in supply chain management / freight conversion
Above average proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools for manipulation, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets
Ability to write SQL and learn new software programs as required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Productive mindset and ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to successful completion
Desired:Academic focus in Computer Information Technology or Transportation Systems
