**Job Title: Conventional Machinist** **Job Description**
The Conventional Machinist will turn, mill, drill, and grind workpieces to meet precise dimensions and tolerances.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set-up and operate conventional Mills and Lathes.
+ Perform pre-operational inspections.
+ Study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.
+ Set-up, adjust, and operate manual machine tools, including cutting tools and attachments.
+ Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
+ Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine as required.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
+ Track time on each function or task by maintaining time records.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience in machining.
+ Proficiency with Blueprint reading.
+ Experience with Lathes and Mills.
+ Ability to work with Stainless Steel and Aluminum.
+ Basic computer skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prefer candidates from Aerospace Manufacturing.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.50/hr.
