You will be providing the commercial teams across our European markets with customer and financial analytics and insights to drive decision making.You will analyse both internal and external data, market trends and performance metrics to ensure a deep understanding of the commercial implications and success of new trading offers introduced across our markets.  The role involves significant virtual collaboration with customers across regions.What you will deliverDeliver a consistent approach to bp analytics and insight principles across Europe, and support deployment in country/clusterDeliver and maintain best in class tools and systems to ensure that all Trading decision-making is driven by the right data and insights.Develop and maintain dashboards to make analytics digestible and usable in county/clusterSupport internal departments (PPM, Finance & F&M) to develop and ensure consistence in reporting tools, KPI’s and business insights across all markets and clusters.Support development of retail pricing and promotional toolkits, working closely with internal and external parties (e.g. Accenture)Assist in supporting and building analytical fluency within the convenience trading teams.Support delivery of annual SGM targets, working closely with country/cluster Trading Managers in the production of key insights and trading trends.Build models and run scenarios to support revenue growth and maximise commercial potential of offers Provide financial evaluation of offers – quantify benefits and costsSupport FM development, providing data to finance teams to ensure that strong data-backed assumptions inform ROI discussionsProvide global, regional and local macro trend insights to ensure bp's convenience offers meet our customer’s current and future needsFully utilise data and market-trend platforms (e.g. internal reporting, external suppliers and partners, SAP, ACI, IGD, Neilson, CTP, trade press), both existing and new, to report key insights

What you will need to be successfulEducationDegree or equivalent experience level education a preferenceExperienceMinimum 5-7 years data analytics experienceProven track record to analyse data and generate insights that drive performance improvementExperience in a trading environment and FMCG businessCommercial and business case development experienceThird-party management and category management experience are highly desirableExposure to fast-paced retail environments and operations/supply chain is advantageous Skills & CompetenciesRetail Eye For Business and understanding of Retail Financial Data (GAAP & EEM) Strong statistical analysis and modelling skills, especially using PythonHigh proficiency in PowerQuery, PowerBI, DAX, and Excel Ability to interrogate and present data clearly and effectivelyDiligent with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilitiesExcellent communication and influencing skills across diverse teams Highly organised with a bias for planning and prioritisation Comfortable handling large volumes of data and working in fast-changing environments Strong relationship management and ability to work collaborativelyNote: Occasional travel to Europe may be required but will not be frequent (maximum 2-3 times per year, but may be zero)You will work withThis role reports to the European Trading Analytics and Insights Manager and will work closely with the Trading Optimisation Team which you will be part of along with other colleagues in the CoE (Centre of Expertise) including Partnerships and Offer,  Supply Chain and other members of the wider Trading Teams across Europe.Why join bpAt bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and challenging environment.
