Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician to support a commissioning and validation project for a Controls OEM. This role is a long-term consultancy position, operating on the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and cGMP compliance while providing operational support for process control applications.

ResponsibilitiesStrictly follow the company’s safety and cGMP policies and procedures.Provide operational shift support for process control applications using PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and vision systems.Apply engineering principles of process automation to support automated warehouses, guided vehicles, and manufacturing production.Implement control system troubleshooting for the ASRS integrated system.Implement automated process changes to improve equipment performance or upgrade technologies.Participate in technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting on automation control issues.Perform required work in a GMP-regulated manufacturing setting.Implement Preventative and Corrective maintenance.Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain accurate GMP documentation following ALCOA+ principles.Support project management efforts for automation-related projects.Handle Automation Systems lifecycle including controlled changes, software versioning, and control system qualification.Support Data Integrity Assessments.Maintain automated warehouse systems using Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to meet safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental sustainability goals.Improve Business Processes, including departmental SOPs and job plans to ensure safe and reliable maintenance operations.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.Experience with PLC programming, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.Equipment Commissioning Experience.Experience with IO Check Outs and troubleshooting electrical systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree preferred.Preferred experience with equipment installation.Work Environment

The position is based in a very clean, brand new pharmaceutical environment. You will work with top-in-class systems integrators and Controls houses.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
