\u00A0Job Summary

As a Controls Team Leader at Trane, you will provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team of Controls Technicians who install, program, commission, and service building automation systems. You will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure high\u2011quality execution, adherence to project requirements, and exceptional system performance. This role requires strong HVAC controls expertise, proven leadership capability, and the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges while maintaining Trane\u2019s commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

\u2022 Lead, mentor, and support a team of Controls Technicians, including training, development, and performance guidance.
\u2022 Oversee installation, programming, and commissioning activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
\u2022 Provide advanced troubleshooting support for control systems and related equipment, assisting technicians with resolving complex issues.
\u2022 Review and validate system diagnostics, analysis, and commissioning reports to ensure optimal system performance.
\u2022 Coordinate with project managers and engineers to plan workloads, allocate resources, and meet project timelines.
\u2022 Serve as a primary technical point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance and ensuring a positive customer experience.
\u2022 Ensure accurate and complete documentation of system installations, commissioning results, and service activities.
\u2022 Monitor adherence to company standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
\u2022 Support continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, team efficiency, and project execution.
\u2022 Foster a collaborative, safe, and high\u2011performing team environment.

Qualifications

\u2022 High school diploma or equivalent; Associate\u2019s degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or a related field preferred.
\u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation systems; leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
\u2022 Advanced proficiency in programming and commissioning building automation systems.
\u2022 Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, and control theory.
\u2022 Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and decision\u2011making skills.
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control documentation.
\u2022 Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
\u2022 Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team environment.
