In this position...
Lead problem solving to assist plants and implementation teams in resolving tooling, equipment and conveyor performance issues and downtime.
What you'll do...
· Coordinate resources to find root cause and fixes, manage and breakdown problems into items that can be validated. Determine proper validation methods.
· Handle setup and maintenance of industrial bar code printers
· Utilize sound knowledge design and implement vision control systems. Familiar with different type of vision cameras and their programing software. Continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
· Use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installations
· Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements
· Update program backups for machinery and automation
· Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots
· As part of a team, review risk assessments and evaluate equipment safety
· Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electricians
· Read and modify electrical prints and schematics, Auto CAD
· Maintain familiarity with OA, CPN/MPN networks and communication protocols for connecting to wireless and wired networks
· Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs, perform PC backup disc images and installation of communication and firmware and controls software
· Work overtime and weekends as needed
**You'll have...**
+ Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix).
+ 2+ years of related experience
+ High School Diploma.
+ Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming AB Servo and AB VFD drives.
+ Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
+ Strong problem solving background must include 8D's, FMEAs, and DMAIC's
+ Must be able to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
+ Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
**Even better, you may have...**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ Fanuc robot experience
+ Kawasaki programming, RS Logics, Microsoft office.
+ PLC
+ Must be able to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics.
+ Experienced in laser burning.
+ Must have strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO.
+ Ability to read blueprints
+ Simulation modeling exposure.
+ Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
+ 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem solving skills
+ Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
+ DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
+ TQM and Kaizen Methods
+ FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
+ Visual Factory Management
