Summary

The Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineer manages the process of specifying, designing, configuring, testing, supervising, and manufacturing control, electrical, and automation systems. In this role, you will serve as a technical reference for designers and engineering technicians responsible for automation, instrumentation, and control system integration/development. Additionally, you will provide remote assistance for on-site installation and support of PLC/HMI/computer-based hardware, offer schedule and cost updates to project managers on multi-discipline projects, and maintain effective communication with clients and co-workers.

Essential Functions

Designs control systems and instrumentation equipment, including electrical control panels.Conducting analytical assessments and troubleshooting.Initiating and leading projects independently.Assists with installation and commissioning tasks (experience preferred but not required).Modifying and upgrading existing systems.Analyze the processes of the assigned facilityIdentify shortcomings that could be opened by automationDesign systems that can automate processesMaintain and repair systemsInspect systems to ensure they meet safety regulationsFamiliarity with PLC/SCADA software across multiple platforms.

Education and Experience
