Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the engineering team, including workload planning, budgeting, communication, and coordination of resources. You will ensure that safety engineering services are completed for each project scope, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Acting as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, you will evaluate and monitor each team member’s performance.
Responsibilities
+ Manage day-to-day operations of the engineering team, including workload planning and budgeting.
+ Ensure completion of safety engineering services per project scope.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering team.
+ Evaluate and monitor team members' performance.
+ Engage in direct machinery activities, supporting or designing roles.
+ Work onsite at customer facilities, requiring physical activities such as walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
Essential Skills
+ Project management experience.
+ Panel design expertise.
+ Machine safety knowledge.
+ PLC programming proficiency.
+ Risk assessment capabilities.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.
+ Direct machinery experience in supporting or designing roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
+ Experience with installation and retrofits.
+ Knowledge of OSHA standards.
Work Environment
This role offers a remote opportunity with frequent travel to customer sites, approximately 260 days per year. The average workweek is 40-50 hours. You will alternate between one week onsite at customer locations and one week working remotely from home. Physical ability to work on factory floors, climb stairs, and be on your feet for up to 10-12 hours per day is required. Enjoy a work-life balance within a family-oriented culture.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
