Controls Engineer
Description Responsible for ensuring plants create the best products possible in the most efficient manner by implementing, maintaining, and supporting the OT/ICS infrastructure. Responsible for ensuring all equipment comprising the Industrial Control System are properly maintained and functioning to current safety and cyber security standards by performing basic OT network switch configuration, vlan schema, IP Address assignment, PLC and HMI troubleshooting, installing PLC and IO cards, addressing DCS hardware, performing PLC, DCS, and HMI programming. Support capital projects by providing networking, automation, and process control technical expertise Support OT Network and ICS automation & process control systems of manufacturing plants in North America. Support capital projects being led by Process, Packaging, and/or plant engineers that have electrical or automation & process control components within their project scopes. Support data collection, I4.0 migrations, OT networks, and cyber security initiatives. Maintain machine safety standards: Lead/Perform Machine Risk Assessments. Ensure machine Controls for safety systems meet Sistema Level D category. Review new machine documentation to make sure the equipment exceeds Valvoline safety standards. Provide subject matter expertise while assisting third party controls systems support across domestic sites. Develop and maintain 5-year ICS automation & process control equipment plans for remediating obsolescence in N.A. plants Skills Plc programming, Hmi, rockwell, allen bradley plc, controls engineering, packaging equipment, Siemens PCS7 Top Skills Details Plc programming,Hmi,rockwell,allen bradley plc,controls engineering,packaging equipment Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree Experience in consumer products controls work and plant support.
