Job Title: Electrical Machine Design EngineerJob Description
The Electrical Machine Design Engineer will play a vital role in designing, programming, debugging, and supporting automated systems and automation equipment for production. The engineer will provide electrical design input and assist in concept and development efforts within the facility, whether through infrastructure, programming, or design. Extensive skills in PLC, Robot, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and electrical controls are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
+ Design, program, debug, and support automated systems and automation equipment for production.
+ Provide electrical design input and assist in concept and development efforts within the facility.
+ Offer troubleshooting assistance on all electrical and/or controls equipment to resolve issues and gather data.
+ Collaborate with management, machine operators, supervisors, and other engineers in a team-working style.
+ Work with minimal supervision while driving continuous improvement and transitioning new technologies into the business framework.
+ Assist in setting standards for new control equipment and learn additional project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience working as a controls engineer or in a related role.
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electrical Technology, or Mechatronics. An associate's degree in an engineering field with a combination of experience can be considered.
+ Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
+ Formal training or extensive experience with PLCs, including OMRON CJ & NJ, Robot RC8, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting located in Maryville, with minimal travel required to other plants in the south sub-region. Employees enjoy holiday and vacation benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
