Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

This position focuses on collaborating closely with customers to assess their control system requirements, develop tailored control system designs, and support on-site commissioning. The role is hands-on and involves programming automation solutions—primarily for AC and DC motor control—within water and wastewater treatment facilities.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients to understand operational needs and technical requirements.Design and implement control systems that meet project specifications.Develop and test automation programs for motor control applications.Provide on-site commissioning and support to ensure successful system deployment.Essential Skills5+ years of experience with programming from scratch.Proficiency in automation, PLC programming, and systems engineering.Experience with control systems and troubleshooting.Familiarity with HMI systems such as FactoryTalk or Wonderware.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.Experience with arc flash analysis, Python, or C programming.Experience with FactoryTalk, Wonderware, LabView, or IFix is a nice to have.Experience with Siemens systems, certification preferred.Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously.Work Environment

The work environment is casual and supportive, with an easy-going manager. The company conducts yearly reviews to assess performance. The role requires traveling within a 2-hour radius to commission projects at customer sites. Employees will work alongside the panel builder team and train directly under experienced colleagues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $57.70/hr.
