Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned EPLAN expert to join a 9–12 month project focused on controls engineering and electrical panel design. The role requires delivering high-quality documentation and design using EPLAN software, with a strong emphasis on electrical panel design, EPLAN documentation, controls engineering, and compliance with industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and document electrical control panels using EPLAN.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance.Update and maintain project documentation.Troubleshoot design issues and support implementation.Communicate progress and blockers with stakeholders.Essential SkillsExtensive EPLAN experience.Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 for electrical schematic design, documentation, and project structuring.Ability to manage symbol libraries, macros, templates, and database configurations.Hands-on experience designing and drafting electrical control panels from concept to completion.Strong understanding of control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation.Ability to produce complete and accurate documentation using EPLAN, including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC and IEEE for compliance and quality assurance.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with PLCSIM, Siemens simulation tool.Experience with TIA Portal, Profinet, Profisafe for broader controls integration.WinCC Runtime: HMI development experience.Detail-oriented, problem-solving, strong communication skills.Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $60.00/hr.
