Honeywell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Manager of SEC Reporting and Accounting Policy** to support its spin-off of a newly independent public company, Solstice Advanced Materials. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining best-in-class financial reporting and accounting policy practices. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and technical accounting, along with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures.
+ Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, including monitoring and implementing new accounting standards.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury) to gather and validate financial data for disclosures.
+ Research complex accounting issues and draft technical accounting memos and position papers.
+ Support the development and maintenance of Honeywell’s global accounting policies and procedures.
+ Assist in the coordination with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
+ Provide accounting guidance and training to business units and finance teams across the organization.
+ Participate in special projects, including M&A transactions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
+ 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting (Big 4) and corporate reporting.
+ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation.
+ Experience in a spin-off, IPO, or newly public company environment is highly desirable.
+ Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, SAP, HFM) is a plus.
+ Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
**NICE TO HAVE**
+ Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
+ Experience in a Fortune 500 company or global manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams.
_This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026._
