The Global Accounts Receivable (GAR) team is seeking a passionate Controllership Lead with deep auditing expertise to help achieve our vision of providing a world-class Order-to-Cash (O2C) experience to our internal and external customers in support of Amazon's journey to become Earth's most customer-centric company.
The Controllership Lead must be strategic and detail-oriented, with strong accounting and finance skills, robust auditing experience, excellent interpersonal and influencing capabilities, strong organizational and project management abilities, and the capacity to gather business and technical requirements across global teams to drive systems and change management processes. This person will need to roll up their sleeves, work independently, and demonstrate an extremely high level of ownership and ability to dive deep. This leader will seek out opportunities to reduce risk to the business by minimizing manual touches, eliminating process waste, and moving toward scalability and self-service. Leveraging audit experience and deep understanding of control environments, this individual will collaborate with tech teams to implement AI and emerging technologies that strengthen internal controls while improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with financial controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards across global cash application operations.
• Lead audit readiness initiatives, including process documentation, control testing, and remediation of audit findings to maintain financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct deep dives and audits of accounts receivables processes to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, providing actionable recommendations for goal achievement.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, control matrices, and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and audit reviews for new product and System of Record (SOR) launches, partnering with Launch and Tech teams to identify and mitigate potential impacts to account receivable systems, including OFA (Oracle Financials) and CP (Customer Payments) systems, prior to implementation.
• Drive controllership initiatives including compliance monitoring, financial reporting accuracy, and risk mitigation across global accounts receivable operations.
