Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant/Controller to join our team in Oregon, where we have been serving the community for over 50 years. This full-time, in-office role offers a unique opportunity to lead financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, while actively contributing to the company's growth and success.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain financial records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Perform account reconciliations and assist with budget and close processes.Conduct internal audits and maintain accounts payable documentation.Assist leadership with information requests and support internal and external audit processes.Accurately maintain a general ledger.Reconcile bank accounts and prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely processing and reporting.Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.Support administration in the running of payroll.Assist leadership as needed.Essential Skills5-6 years of operational accounting experience, including GAAP compliance.Proficiency in accounting ERP systems and experience with organizations of $50m+.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.Experience with inventory accounting and exposure to assisting with tax filings.Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious managerial experience is preferred.Experience in the furniture/appliance or retail industry is advantageous.Familiarity with VPASS or STORIS ERP systems is a plus.CPA or MBA is beneficial.Advanced user of Excel is advantageous.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
