Belfair Property Owners Association is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our premier private community. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this key leadership role is responsible for the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, managing the monthly close process, and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial reporting. The Controller will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support two staff accountants managing the AP and AR functions. Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. Develop and maintain financial tools and reports, including: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Flash reports Budget variance analysis Metrics Reporting Partner with the Director of Finance on financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. Collaborate with department heads to provide budget oversight and actionable financial insights. Ensure internal control compliance and adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Coordinate and support external auditors during the annual audit. Identify and implement process improvements to increase financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 7–10 years of relevant accounting/finance experience. Prior experience in a club or hospitality environment is highly preferred. Experience managing or mentoring staff preferred. Proficiency with Jonas Club Management software is strongly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.About Belfair
