Controller Customer Financing – Latin America
Philips Capital is part of the Group Treasury function in Philips, with the purpose of enabling Philips sales with customer financing. The Controller Customer Financing supports Philips Capital in realizing its commercial targets and contributing to Philips business objectives by ensuring timely, accurate and complete management reporting on customer financing activities. The role supports accurate financial reporting and effective balance sheet management.
**Your role:**
+ Supports (monthly) financial reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including order intake, revenue recognition, and balance sheet management, and the timely availability of reliable pipeline, funnel and forecast information on financed transactions.
+ Ensures that customer financing transactions meet the conditions for management reporting such as documentation of the financed order, evidence of Philips Capital involvement in the transaction and evidence of approvals where required.
+ Ensures compliance with Philips Capital’s policies, actively contributing to the overall risk management framework and supporting the company’s financial stability.
+ Works under limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance to drive compliance and process improvements with others in Philips (e.g. Order Management, Accounting, Finance, Credit & Collection).
+ Balances compliance and working with the Philips Capital representatives to provide an accurate and complete view of their performance and resolving issues.
**You're the right fit if you have:**
+ Strong analytical skills with solid experience with financial systems (e.g. Salesforce, SAP).
+ Ability to extract insights from large datasets and prepare reconciliations of data from different sources.
+ A good understanding of financing products and structures such as leasing, extended payment terms, letters of credit and the accounting thereof.
+ Business partner mindset in respect of identifying and communication areas for further business, cost control or process improvement.
+ Effective in working with others in a complex and cross-cultural environment.
+ Good communication (oral and written) and project management skills.
+ Education: minimum bachelor's / master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting or equivalent.
+ Professional experience: minimum 6-8 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as (corporate) finance, accounting/controlling, risk management, financial analysis or equivalent in a bank, big 4 accounting firm, advisory firm or multinational.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
