Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the entire accounting function, serving as a vital member of our executive team and reporting directly to the CEO. This high-impact role is perfect for someone who thrives on establishing structure, can handle multiple responsibilities, and brings precision and leadership to the core of our operations. The position is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, working for a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer.
ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal costing.Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements.Integrate and optimize ERP system for enhanced financial transparency and production alignment.Digitize legacy systems and processes, implementing scanned tracking tools.Manage outsourced IT partners; oversee documentation, setup, and system configuration processes.Collaborate with the President and HR to shape our financial roadmap and data strategy.Support plant operations with inventory controls and accurate cost accounting.Drive continuous system improvements to support significant company growth.Essential SkillsExpertise in accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.Experience with inventory management and internal cost modeling.Proficiency in system integrationStrong skills in digitization and IT integration.Ability to perform inventory valuation accuratelyAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in aerospace, machining, or inventory accounting.Confidence in managing and coordinating IT functions and digital workflows.Work Environment
This position requires on-site work. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to be a key decision maker, working directly with the President to set policies and procedures.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $72.00/hr.
