Job Description

In this high-impact, developmental role, you will be groomed to master our financial architecture and leadership standards, preparing you for broader strategic responsibilities. This position is a critical succession-planning step, with the expectation to transition into a Vice President of Finance role within 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

Direct the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting.Design, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets.Manage the preparation of forecasts, the annual operating plan, and strategic financial models.Serve as the primary financial subject matter expert, supporting Business Unit Managers with high-level presentations and performance analytics.Provide expert guidance on pricing and proposal initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to government contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and CAS).Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.Champion continuous improvement by leading value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.Partner with IT to automate workflows and adopt new technologies, specifically focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence tools to enhance financial visibility.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles with significant exposure to the manufacturing or aerospace sectors.Expertise in GAAP and technical accounting.Demonstrated ability to perform detailed variance analysis (budget-to-actual, year-over-year).Proven experience in government contract accounting (FAR/DFAR/TINA/CAS).Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data warehousing or Power BI.A track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, complex projects, and large-scale operational change.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

An MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is highly desired.

Work Environment

Our company culture is centered around ownership, transparency, process improvement, and trust & respect. Core business hours are generally 8-5 pm onsite. The role involves frequent use of office productivity machinery including computers, printers, and document scanners. The ability to move throughout the office environment to coordinate with various departments is required. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $147900.00 - $200100.00/yr.
