Job Description

As the primary financial leader for the Valencia, CA operation, the Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analytical functions, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and corporate standards. This role involves partnering closely with the General Manager and corporate teams to drive financial performance, improve operational accountability, and support strategic decision-making within a rapidly growing manufacturing environment. Key focuses include strengthening inventory accuracy, WIP tracking, and working capital management, as well as enhancing financial processes, systems, and controls. The Controller plays a critical role in guiding the site’s financial transformation and supporting continued business growth.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analytical functions.Ensure full compliance with GAAP and corporate standards.Partner closely with the General Manager and corporate teams.Drive financial performance and improve operational accountability.Support strategic decision-making within a manufacturing environment.Strengthen inventory accuracy, WIP tracking, E&O, and working capital management.Enhance financial processes, systems, and controls.Communicate effectively and collaborate to guide financial transformation.

Essential Skills

Deep manufacturing accounting expertise.Strong analytical capabilities.Ability to influence cross-functional teams.Experience with GAAP, ERP systems (EPICOR), and financial reporting.Knowledge of inventory management, revenue recognition and cost accounting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.At least ten years of progressive accounting/finance experience.Experience in manufacturing and inventory accounting.Experience with E&O and ASC 606 highly desirable.Optional skills: Aerospace & Defense experience, private equity reporting experience.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite to support operations and partner with leadership. Standard working hours align with a typical day shift, Monday through Friday, with flexibility during month-end close, budgeting cycles, or major operational initiatives. The culture is collaborative, transparent, and performance-driven, with an emphasis on accountability, continuous improvement, and open communication. The finance function is deeply connected to day-to-day operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment, offering a flexible, entrepreneurial atmosphere with the stability and resources of a global organization. The Controller will work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and corporate finance, reflecting a tight-knit, cross-functional team setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Valencia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
