Job Title: Controller

Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. The Controller will lead financial reporting, support strategic planning, and maintain strong internal controls while collaborating with leadership to support business objectives. This position also provides exposure to Human Resources, project management, and customer relations.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory reporting standards.Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, double-entry bookkeeping, and cash management activities.Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Develop forecasts and perform financial analysis to support strategic and operational planning.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.Maintain financial and Human Resource metrics.Review and approve customer quotes for accuracy and completeness.Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system and manage the transition from Excel-based processes.Monitor cash flow and projects with a focus on cost analysis and strategic fund allocation.

Additional Responsibilities:

Company in the process of implementing a new ERP system, however it's not up and running quite yet so almost everything is done via Excel including the AR processes. Candidate will play an important role in getting the new ERP online and functioning properly.Daily and weekly attendance and payroll will be about 20% of this job as the Controller oversees those functions as well.Month end process is typically 4-5 days and with no debt monitoring cash flow and projects is extremely important.Cost analysis to determine where money is being spent and how they can strategically reallocate funds is imperative.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Proven experience in an accounting leadership or controller-level role.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Experience with cash management, payroll processing, account reconciliation, and account analysis.Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing or medical device industries is preferred.Payroll experience is a plus.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and wear multiple hats.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
