Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and manage a small accounting team at a well-established healthcare organization in Silverdale, Washington. Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, audits, and related reporting activities.
• Monitor and streamline accounts payable processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, addressing fiscal year complexities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Supervise month-end and year-end closings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
• Maintain a consistent and short close period while upholding high standards of accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards.
• Utilize Dynamics to manage general ledger and financial reporting.
• Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages attention to detail and supports long-term employee retention.
The salary range for this position is 98k to $135k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation, 7 days of paid sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a Controller role.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, audit processes, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal year complexities.
• Expertise in month-end and year-end closings with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar financial systems.
• Ability to lead and develop a small team while fostering collaboration.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to maintaining a consistent work schedule with limited overtime.
