Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and provide financial guidance across the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker who can ensure accurate reporting, improve processes, and collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals. The role is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational decision-making. • Lead financial analysis and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate potential challenges. • Collaborate with department leaders to provide strategic financial insights and operational support. • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows. • Ensure adherence to GAAP principles and maintain integrity in all financial practices. • Develop and implement policies to strengthen internal controls and improve overall financial accountability. • Support leadership in strategic planning by providing data-driven recommendations. • Mentor and guide the accounting team to foster growth and development. • Address complex financial issues and propose innovative solutions to drive organizational success. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and their application. • Demonstrated experience in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset. • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing accounting professionals.
