Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and drive organizational efficiency for a growing Managed Service Provider in Lima, Ohio. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the accounting team, implementing robust financial controls, and providing strategic insights to support leadership decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, leadership abilities, and a proven track record in scaling finance operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the accounting department, including functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, and general ledger. • Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the security of company assets and compliance with regulations. • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and management reports that support executive decision-making. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. • Collaborate with senior leadership to support budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning. • Manage audits, tax filings, and relationships with external financial institutions. • Drive process improvements and implement financial systems to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic business decisions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity. • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance. • Proven experience managing accounting operations for organizations with over 100 employees. • High proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Familiarity with multi-state payroll and tax compliance. • Preferred experience in the IT services or Managed Service Provider industry, including process automation initiatives.
