Description
Our client is a rapidly scaling organization that is intentionally investing in its accounting and finance infrastructure to support continued growth. We have partnered with this leadership team for years and have a strong track record of successful, long-term placements across the finance organization. This newly created Controller role is a key hire and will play a central role in shaping the next phase of the company’s evolution.
The Controller will serve as the day-to-day leader of accounting operations while helping modernize processes, strengthen controls, and build scalable systems. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking strategically about how a finance function should operate in a high-growth environment.
Controller Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
+ Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
+ Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP
+ Partner closely with executive leadership on financial insights, process improvements, and growth initiatives
+ Support system enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement of accounting workflows
+ Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners

Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA/Masters preferred
+ Progressive accounting leadership experience in a growing or complex environment
+ Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience building or improving processes
+ Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale teams
+ Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-oriented organization
