Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing construction company in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role oversees all day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, while supporting management and leadership with detailed and timely financial analyses and reports. The Controller will play a vital role in shaping financial strategies, managing accounting processes, and driving organizational success. Responsibilities: • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and management reports to support decision-making. • Collaborate with operations teams to assess revenue and cost adjustments for ongoing projects. • Analyze job profitability through the preparation of cost statements and discussions with supervisors. • Ensure the accurate processing of invoices, lien releases, and client-related documentation. • Oversee accounts payable, billing, and payroll data entry to maintain financial integrity. • Act as a liaison between branch operations and corporate accounting staff. • Manage cash flow, profit and loss statements, and work toward positive financial outcomes. • Review branch budgets and assist in developing the company’s annual business plan. • Maintain reconciliations of balance sheets in compliance with external audit requirements. • Supervise & Lead local accounting staff and ensure appropriate training and development initiatives are in place. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and analysis. • Strong leadership and management experience in financial operations; A proven business partner across the organization. • Proficiency in construction accounting and job cost analysis. • Experience using construction industry accounting software. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and with senior-level stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
