Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and enhance our accounting operations in Santa Ana, California. This role will involve managing general ledgers, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting audits and driving improvements in accounting systems and processes. Responsibilities: • Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. • Oversee operational accounting activities, including maintaining general ledgers and preparing consolidated financial statements. • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. • Collaborate with the VP of Accounting to develop strategies for optimizing accounting practices. • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making. • Facilitate annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and working closely with external auditors. • Identify opportunities for enhancing the functionality of accounting systems and processes. • Compile and organize financial data for reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy. • Supervise document control procedures, including scanning and managing financial records. • Prepare consolidated balance sheets and other financial reports as required. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Proven expertise in document control, scanning, and compiling financial records. • Strong knowledge of consolidated balance sheets and financial statements. • Demonstrated ability to manage monthly close processes and internal controls. • Experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Proficiency in analyzing and improving accounting systems and workflows. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
