Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and enhance financial operations for our organization. This role requires an individual with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decisions. Ideal background is someone who has their CPA, tech savvy, good supervisory skills, yet very hands on. Experience with multi-entity, lease accounting (ASC 842) and recurring revenue, are borderline must haves. If you have your CPA and fit that profile, send your resume to me at joe.ciavardini@roberthalf Responsibilities: • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, payroll processing, banking activities, and reconciliation of accounts. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Prepare timely and precise financial statements, supporting both internal and external reporting needs. • Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic plans. • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. • Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and capital costs, ensuring financial stability. • Facilitate operational efficiency by implementing advanced accounting and finance systems. • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of performance and risk management. • Provide transactional and operational support for various initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and refinancing efforts Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including as a Controller or Assistant Controller. • Expertise in financial reporting standards, including cash-basis accounting • Familiarity with multi-unit operations • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships • Exceptional Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
