Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly account reconciliations.Conduct daily Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation.Prepare and post month-end journal entries.Reconcile monthly inventory.Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements.Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.Collect aged receivables.Review all payable invoices for accuracy before entry.Create weekly forecasts of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.Create and assign job numbers to all projects, prepare invoices, and track all milestone invoices and payments.Prepare emergency cost write-ups for review before creating invoices for emergency jobs.Manage business insurance and employee benefits plans.Essential Skills
Full cycle accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, especially Excel.Strong technical skills in QuickBooks and bookkeeping.Professional attitude with strong leadership skills.Proactive and strategic approach to business maintenance and growth.Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in Administration/Accounting.Team player with a willingness to wear many hats in a growing company.Work Environment
Work is performed onsite in a charming office space that resembles a cozy log cabin, complete with a full-service kitchen. The office environment is close-knit, with a small, friendly staff of five. Employees can enjoy a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
