Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic real estate development and property management firm located in Miami, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organization. If you have a strong background in accounting and are proficient with tools like Yardi, this position will allow you to utilize your expertise in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts and maintain financial records in alignment with organizational standards.
• Oversee budgeting processes, providing insights to support strategic financial planning.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including Yardi, to streamline financial operations and reporting.
• Prepare detailed financial reports using tools like Crystal Reports and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with the property management team to align financial strategies with business goals.
• Monitor cash flow and manage forecasting to ensure financial stability.
• Implement and maintain CRM systems to enhance financial data tracking and customer relationship management.
• Mentor and guide the accounting team to foster growth and ensure operational efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role, preferably within the real estate or property management industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, with expertise in Yardi being essential.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general auditing processes.
• Familiarity with budget creation and financial planning methodologies.
• Advanced skills in financial reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports.
• Experience with CRM systems and their application in financial operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively guide a team.
