Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact? A well-established and financially stable non-profit organization based in Westfield, NJ is seeking a dedicated Controller to join their leadership team.
This organization has a stellar reputation and been in existence over seventy-five years.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 7 years of accounting/finance experience in a non-profit organization
+ Strong supervisory and leadership skills
+ Experience with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila) software preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
+ Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee all financial operations, including reporting, general ledger, and month-end close processes
+ Lead budgeting, forecasting, and treasury functions
+ Supervise accounting staff and ensure compliance with internal controls
+ Prepare and present financial statements and reports to executive leadership and the board
+ Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory and grant reporting requirements
+ Oversee payroll, benefits accounting, and other financial processes
