Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage financial operations for a dynamic organization based in Bethel, Maine. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to ensure financial accuracy, optimize cash flow, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex financial systems and fostering positive vendor and client relationships. Responsibilities: • Supervise all financial and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making processes. • Prepare audits and regulatory filings, including worker’s compensation, sales tax, insurance, and income tax for multiple entities. • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain uninterrupted service delivery. • Oversee vendor payment processes in environments with extended payment terms. • Manage receivables and address delinquent accounts to ensure timely collections. • Implement effective document control practices, including scanning, compiling, and organizing financial documents. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards across all business units. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for financial improvement and risk mitigation. Requirements • Proven experience in financial management and accounting roles. • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax filings, and audit preparation. • Expertise in cash flow management and vendor relations. • Proficiency in document control practices, including scanning and organizing records. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage receivables and address delinquent accounts effectively. • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and software. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
