Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic team in Warren, Ohio. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic insights that drive growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant standards. • Develop and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations. • Collaborate with leadership to create budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analyses. • Coordinate annual audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risks to optimize the company’s financial position. • Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency. • Prepare detailed management reports and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales and other tax filings. • Oversee corporate risk management, including insurance renewals and compliance with customer insurance requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting leadership roles. • Proficiency in document control processes and procedures. • Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Strong understanding of financial operations, including monthly and quarterly closings. • Proven ability to manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Excellent leadership and team development skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support strategic decisions.
