Description CONTROLLER ROLE WITH PLANS TO GROOM FOR CFO POSITION. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee their daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. This role requires a hands-on leader who will work to understand the details of the accounting functions, and the business as a whole, to recommend and implement process improvements, segregation of duties, and strong internal controls. Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, Billing, and outsourced payroll • Will have hands on responsibility for general ledger management, account reconciliations, and journal entries. • Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial reports to support decision-making processes. • Lead the preparation of income statements and other key financial documents. • Assist with budgeting processes and forecast future financial performance. • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of bank reports, regulatory filings, and internal reporting requirements. • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations. • Evaluate and improve current accounting operations, processes, and internal control systems. • Recruit, train, and manage a team of four accounting staff while providing support during absences. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CPA, CMA, MBA) are preferred. • At least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Strong proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel. • Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial statements, managing month-end close processes, and performing account reconciliations. • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance. • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and improve financial operations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
