We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead and manage financial operations for an organization in Manchester Center, Vermont. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in multi-entity accounting and a proactive approach to supporting strategic business decisions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. • Lead the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and financial forecasts to support organizational goals. • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and compliance standards, both internally and externally. • Manage cash flow across multiple entities, optimizing financial resources effectively. • Provide actionable financial analysis and insights to assist senior leadership in decision-making. • Supervise, train, and mentor accounting and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Collaborate with external accountants and advisors to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Expertise in accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in managing cash flow and preparing financial statements. • Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Enterprise software. • Ability to handle multi-entity accounting with accuracy and efficiency. • Solid understanding of compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
