Legends|ASM Global manages the Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Champions Square, Shrine on Airline, and other properties on behalf of the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District (LSED). ASM is seeking a Senior Manager-Controller to oversee a ten-person Accounting team responsible for all LSED financial reporting. The Senior Manager/Controller will be responsible for coordinating the financial operations of the LSED, including oversight of the general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and collections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the development and implementation of company goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and ASM policies and procedures.Monitors ASM compliance with all provisions of the company’s management contract.Reviews and/or prepares event settlements.Reviews and executes checks and deposits, reviews of daily cash receipts and disbursements.Reviews purchasing capital assets and supplies.Manage and maintain internal controls and compliance in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and Box Office/Ticketing.Coordinate and work with auditors to complete annual audit and issue financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GASB.Ensure proper internal controls are in place and assist in audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries or requests.Direct the installation and maintenance of any new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.Review financial statements with department heads.Develop and implement all financial reporting including:Prepare financial statements for the Client and ASM Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, annual budget, and year-end reports. Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to ensure completion and accuracy.Review bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and other analyses as needed.Direct the maintenance of all general ledgers, accounts receivables, accounts payables, depreciation, payroll, and operating expenses.Analyze financial performance and cost analysis for all departments; prepare monthly financial statements, recommend appropriate actions/changes in order to meet business goals.Oversee Monthly financial statements and review for accuracy.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience
B. S./M.S. in Accounting; CPA preferredAt least 5 to 7 years’ experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and/or government accountingProficiency/experience in GASB financial reporting preferredSkills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of general and cost accountingExcellent math skills; high aptitude for figuresExcellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability with attention to detail.Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.Strong supervisory skillsAbility to work irregular hours may vary due to events and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays.Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis.Proficiency in Excel and Extensive knowledge of accounting software,COMPENSATION
