Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing team in Fullerton, California. This role is ideal for an accomplished accounting individual seeking a leadership position in a stable and collaborative work environment. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, managing a dedicated team, and contributing to the company’s strategic goals. Responsibilities: • Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance. • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements to support business decision-making. • Lead and mentor a team of accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. • Drive process improvements and support the implementation of system enhancements to streamline operations. • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial analysis and strategic insights. • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. • Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies. • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to align with company objectives. • Develop and implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the accounting department. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. • Strong background in distribution and/or manufacturing industries. • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team in a collaborative and detail-oriented manner. • Experience in public accounting, including senior accountant-level experience, is preferred. • Proficiency in accounting systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and ADP Financial Services. • Exceptional communication and organizational skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • A commitment to long-term growth and succession planning within the organization.
