Description
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an established and expanding company in Fort Myers that is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations. This role will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all financial operations for the company’s multiple entities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting within the construction industry or something similar, be comfortable in a hands-on role, and have QuickBooks experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting processes, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations, for multiple entities.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
+ Prepare job-costing reports and review profitability of each project.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
+ Monitor budgets and forecasts for various projects and entities.
+ Collaborate with the company’s external CPA to assist in tax preparation and financial reviews.
+ Provide necessary documentation and reports for compliance responsibilities.

+ Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and owner to assist in the company’s growth.

Requirements
+ Proven experience in accounting or financial management for multiple entities.
+ Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
+ Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes.
+ Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and job-costing reports.
+ Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with external professionals and internal teams.
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
