Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Controller to lead and oversee financial operations within our organization in Newport Beach, California. In this role, you will manage corporate accounting, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive the preparation of budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining robust internal controls and managing financial risks.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the full spectrum of accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
• Lead the preparation and review of budgets and financial forecasts, providing analysis of variances.
• Generate and distribute accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to ensure compliance.
• Investigate complex accounting issues to ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
• Facilitate month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Uphold quality standards in financial transactions and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax procedures.
• Develop and refine business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Take on additional financial management responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance, with proven expertise as a Financial Controller.
• Advanced degree in accounting or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to create financial statements and manage general ledger functions.
• Proficiency in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong skills in accounting software systems and financial administration.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, auditing, and budget processes.
• Experience with accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions.
