Description We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to oversee comprehensive financial operations within a dynamic organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with extensive knowledge in accounting practices, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. The Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
• Supervise key accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax planning and preparation.
• Prepare and present timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls, including coordination with auditors and tax authorities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and a culture of accountability.
• Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
• Implement and refine financial systems, policies, and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and operational performance.
• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including roles with leadership and management responsibilities.
• Strong background in public auditing and financial operations across multiple entities.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software systems and tools.
• Expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams while fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
