Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a Controller to join our team at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. As an Controller, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions, including reporting, consolidating financial results, and performing accounts payable invoice approvals.

Pay

Minimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $60,406 - $76,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?Supervise the accounting team with the administration of internal controls and audit policies, and procedures to ensure complianceTranslate accounting strategy into operational goals and objectives, and execute against those strategies and standardsLead by example, coach, and mentor your accounting team, and ensure team members have opportunities to learn and growSupport the annual plan and projection process for your location, provide insightful reviews of year-over-year change, and recommend areas of focus to improve operating marginsCollaborate with other teams, functions, and data owners across the company to align on process and data issues and ensure required changes to policies or procedures are implemented

More about youBachelor's or associate's degree in accounting or a business-related subjectMinimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including previous supervisory experience; hospitality experience a plusCash management, inventory control, and auditing experience are a plusCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management
